Welcome to the website of MODEL ROADS & TRAMWAYS.

The business was formed in 1990 by two active modellers then based in Bedfordshire, England, exhibiting a layout based on Blackpool seafront with working trams, illuminations etc. and utilising the Faller Car System, whereby buses, lorries, cars and vans etc. move under their own power following a buried guide wire in the roadway.

Following many enquiries as to where the various items used on the layout could be obtained, it was decided to form the business known as 'Model Roads & Tramway's'.

After a time, one of the partners moved to the Blackpool area, which gave us the opportunity to attend model shows with a trade stand in that location, as well as around Bedford and the surrounding area.
